I paid just £9.48 for this 12V car charging cable to use with my Jackery Explorer 500 v2, and so far I’ve been very impressed.

I mainly use it when I’m out and the Jackery needs a boost. I can simply plug it into the car’s 12V socket and top up the power station while travelling rather than waiting until I get home to recharge it.

The cable feels decent quality, has worked reliably for me and costs considerably less than Jackery’s own charging cable. For under £10, I think it’s a very useful accessory for anyone who regularly travels or camps with a compatible portable power station.

Description

This is a 12V–24V car charging cable designed for compatible Jackery, Bluetti and other portable power stations.

It connects to a vehicle’s cigarette lighter/12V socket and uses DC7909/DC8020 connectors at the power-station end. The cable is approximately 2 metres (6.6ft) long and uses 14AWG wiring, giving plenty of length for positioning a power station inside the car.

I’ve been using mine specifically with my Jackery Explorer 500 v2, primarily to give the battery a boost while I’m out or travelling.

For £9.48, I think this car charging cable represents excellent value.

It does exactly what I bought it for: allows me to charge my Jackery Explorer 500 v2 from the car when it needs a boost.

I’ve found the cable to be decent quality, it’s straightforward to use, and having another charging option available makes the Jackery considerably more versatile when I’m away from home.

The main thing I’d recommend is checking compatibility carefully before ordering. Different power stations can use different connectors, so don’t assume it’ll work simply because the listing mentions Jackery or Bluetti.

For my Explorer 500 v2, however, it’s worked really well.

I’d recommend this cable to anyone with a compatible Jackery portable power station who wants the ability to charge from their vehicle.

I’ve found it particularly useful for giving my Explorer 500 v2 a boost while travelling, and at only £9.48 it’s considerably cheaper than buying Jackery’s official equivalent.

My Experience

I bought this cable primarily so that I could give my Jackery Explorer 500 v2 a boost while I’m out rather than being completely reliant on mains charging.

It’s worked really well for that purpose. I simply connect it to the car’s 12V socket and plug the other end into the Jackery, allowing me to put some charge back into the battery while I’m travelling.

The cable itself also feels better quality than I expected for £9.48. It feels reasonably substantial rather than like an extremely cheap charging lead, and I’ve had no problems with the connections during my use so far.

I particularly like having it available for camping trips. If I’ve been using the Jackery heavily, travelling somewhere in the car gives me an opportunity to put some additional power back into it.

It’s a simple accessory, but it’s one I’ve found genuinely useful.
