The SANGMUCEN Outdoor Portable Net has turned out to be one of those inexpensive purchases that gets used far more than I expected. I’ve used my 4m version more than 50 times since buying it in March 2026, mainly for badminton, volleyball and pickleball, and it has performed very well in a range of weather conditions.

It’s quick to set up, packs down surprisingly small and is easy to take camping or use in the garden. My only real criticism is that the telescopic poles can occasionally become stuck when packing it away and need a bit of force to push back down.

For the £23.25 I paid, I’ve been extremely impressed with it.

The SANGMUCEN Outdoor Portable Net is a freestanding, adjustable sports net designed to provide a portable alternative to permanent badminton, volleyball and pickleball nets.

I bought the 4m version, which gives us plenty of space for casual games while still packing down into a compact carry bag. That’s been particularly useful when taking it away, as it doesn’t occupy much space once packed.

One of its biggest advantages is its versatility. Rather than taking separate nets for different activities, we’ve been able to use the same setup for badminton, volleyball and pickleball simply by adjusting the setup to suit the game.

After 50+ uses, the SANGMUCEN Outdoor Portable Net has proven to be an excellent purchase.

It’s been used for badminton, volleyball and pickleball, has handled different weather conditions very well and, despite all that use, continues to do exactly what I bought it for. I particularly like how compact it becomes when packed away, as that’s a big advantage when storing it or taking it away.

The poles occasionally sticking when collapsing the net is the main weakness I’ve found. It’s a relatively minor annoyance rather than something that has affected the net while actually playing.

Considering I paid only £23.25, it’s difficult to complain. It’s already had more than 50 uses, making it one of the best-value pieces of outdoor equipment I’ve bought.

I’d highly recommend the SANGMUCEN Outdoor Portable Net if you’re looking for an inexpensive net for casual badminton, volleyball or pickleball.
