I paid £49.99 for a set of two SUNMER Padded Camping Chairs, making them approximately £25 each, and for that price I’ve been really impressed.

I’ve used them several times both camping and in the garden, and they feel sturdy while still being very comfortable to sit in for longer periods. The padded seat and back make a noticeable difference compared with basic folding camping chairs.

There are also some genuinely useful storage features. The side pocket is handy for keeping my phone nearby, but my favourite feature is the cup holder. Unlike the usual flexible mesh/net cup holders found on many camping chairs, this one is fully enclosed and sturdy, so drinks feel much more secure.

For £49.99 for two, I think they offer excellent value.

I’ve been very pleased with the SUNMER Padded Camping Chairs. After using them both camping and in the garden, they’ve proven comfortable, sturdy and practical.

The small details are what make them particularly good to use. I regularly use the side storage for my phone, while the fully enclosed cup holder is probably my favourite feature. It feels considerably more secure than the basic net-style cup holders found on many folding chairs.

At £49.99 for two, they’re also much better value than I originally gave them credit for. You’re effectively paying around £25 per chair, which I think is very reasonable considering the padding, sturdy construction and additional storage.

The main trade-off is portability. At 3.3kg each, these aren’t ultralight chairs, and there are much smaller options if packed size and weight are your main priorities. For car camping and garden use, however, that doesn’t bother me.

I would recommend the SUNMER Padded Camping Chairs to anyone looking for comfortable and sturdy seating for camping, the garden or other outdoor activities.
